- We consult established repair and diagnostic references to confirm common causes and typical repair costs.
- Where information varies significantly by make or model, we say so directly rather than presenting a single answer as universal.
How We Write and Review
Our content goes through a structured process before publication:
- Research, where we gather information from manufacturer sources and diagnostic references.
- Drafting, where we translate technical detail into plain language a non-mechanic can follow.
- Review, where we check the draft against our sources for accuracy and clarity.
- Publication, followed by ongoing monitoring for reader feedback or outdated information.
Keeping Content Current
Vehicle systems and manufacturer guidance change over time. We periodically review published articles and update them when we identify outdated information, new vehicle data, or reader-reported inaccuracies. Pages that have been substantially revised will reflect an updated date.
Corrections
We take accuracy seriously. If you spot an error, a missing detail, or information that no longer matches your vehicle’s behavior, please tell us through our Contact page. We review every submission and update pages when a correction is warranted.
What We Do Not Do
